By using ED ( extra low dispersion) lenses, the optical system of Avantar binocular series offers a clear and sharp high resolution with absolute control on chromatic aberration.
The roof prism has been provided with a phase coating for phase contrast. In combo with the dielectric multilayer coated auxiliary prism, it guarantees a field of view improved with high resolution power and contrast.
About its body, the aluminium die-cast inside of these binoculars is robust and ultralight at the same time, while the rubber exterior parts offer excellent grip, durability and impact resistance.

ED (Extra low dispersion) optical system

First things first.
The great advantage of ED glass lenses is that the change in the reflective index within the wavelength ranging from blue to red will be very small.
In plain terms, it means the ED glass lenses drastically suppress aberration, whose tangible effect will be the sensation of a naked-eye, natural view.

Dielectric coating
Compared to porro prism, the roof prism of these binoculars offers a superior optical performance with the advantage of a simpler and comfortable style. But that is far from enough.
In order to achieve extremely high levels of light transmission even in compact format binoculars, Avantar binoculars have been provided with the so-called “dielectric coating”. It consists of several “dielectric” layers applied to the prisms that produce no light loss. The word “dielectric” means “no electric conduction”, being this coating non-metallic unlike other binoculars. In practice, it means a marked improvement in brightness.
So, with this dielectric coating technology, Avantar binoculars series guarantees high brightness and contrast, high sharpness even while observing small details, and a great performance even when the daylight is fading, or when you are enjoying your outdoor experience in the twilight.

Multi coating
If you are looking for high standard binoculars, you should know coating is never enough.
That’s why in Avantar binoculars, the roof prism has been provided with a phase coating to correct the phase shift, and the auxiliary prism have been covered with dielectric multilayer films for ultra-high reflectivity.
Also, by applying a multi- coating (multilayer film coat) to all of the lenses and prisms surfaces, these binoculars achieve a higher capacity of light transmittance.
High resolution and contrast are guaranteed.

Waterproof and shock resistant
